SPIRIT 03 MEMORIAL DEDICATION

In honor of its 40th reunion, the USAFA Class of 1979 supported the creation and placement of the Spirit 03 Memorial on the Air Force Academy’s Honor Court. Read more about the memorial that honors 1979 classmate Maj. Paul J. “Dream Weaver” Weaver and his AC-130H crew, who made the ultimate sacrifice Jan. 31, 1991.

FROM THE HILL

Lt. Gen. Richard Clark '86, USAFA superintendent, announced the launch of the “Let’s Be Clear” campaign. The campaign focuses on prevention, response and accountability regarding sexual harassment and assault. Read the letter from the superintendent to the Long Blue Line and the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response campaign strategy plan.

  • Three USAFA Cadets — C3C Ethan Stroup, C3C Tri Nugroho (an Indonesian exchange cadet) and C2C Jordan Allen — recently provided a digital literacy lesson to local middle schoolers.
  • USAFA cadets attend training by Team Rubicon volunteers in hopes of establishing a new humanitarian assistance and disaster relief club at the institution.
  • Week-long immersion at Edwards Air Force Base in California brings Flight Test to life for USAFA cadets.

  • The Southwest Ohio AOG Chapter is partnering with DaytonDefense June 4-5 to host a joint golf outing and Founders Day event. Plan to attend!
