More than 200 grads and family members attended the events surrounding the inaugural Long Blue Line Weekend at USAFA, hosted by the Association of Graduates and the Air Force Academy Foundation.
The gathering kicked off with the Long Blue Line Leadership Conference, involving Class Advisory Senate members, chapter presidents, class scribes and organizational board members to hear all about the incredible happenings at the Academy, AOG and Foundation.
The highlight of the weekend was Friday's March Back with the Class of 2027. Graduates marched behind the basic cadets on their 6.2-mile trek back to the Cadet Area, then shared lunch in Mitchell Hall to swap stories and offer advice. Friday evening attendees took part in the Long Blue Line Social, where graduates, family and friends had a chance to network and enjoy spirit tastings and food offered by local vendors. The weekend ended with a presentation at the USAFA Planetarium and STEM Center by NASA astronaut Dr. Kjell Lindgren '95, followed by a special showing of the film "Forward! To The Moon."

Thanks to the generosity of graduates, parents and friends of the Air Force Academy, support for the second annual 1Day1USAFA generated nearly 3,500 gifts and more than $2.3 million to benefit the Academy, its cadets and graduates. The Long Blue Line and Academy community demonstrated the collective impact of private support on programs, capital projects, endowments and more, and the Air Force Academy Foundation and Association of Graduates are thrilled with the day's outcome. We look forward to sharing additional details around the impact of 1Day1USAFA giving.
