Election Nominations

After raising her children, retired Air Force pilot Tamaron Nicklas '86 is back in the cockpit, flying the skies alongside her husband and pursuing her dream.

Then-Capt. Steve Ritchie '64, the Air Force's only ace pilot of the Vietnam War, might well be the last ace pilot ever. ►

• Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting '89, commander, Space Operations Command, received the Hartinger Award in recognition of outstanding achievements in the U.S. military space mission. ►

• Col. Jason Bell '98 assumed command of the University of Virginia's Air Force ROTC program. ►

• Abbie Crews '07 is one of the few female air tanker pilots fighting wildfires out west. Watch her very thorough tour of the S-2T. ►

• 2nd Lt. Edie Worthington '22 blazes trail with Air Force football. ►
