A new HH-3E static display has joined the iconic B-52 display and Air Warrior Combat Memorial near USAFA's North Gate, thanks to the leadership of Max James '64, the Class of 1981's support and many other generous donors. A dedication ceremony was held Nov. 12.

C-17 pilot Capt. Rhea McFarland '17 became the first Black woman to be awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in a ceremony at Joint Base Charleston this week. ►

• Lt. Col. Beate Cox '83 had no idea what lay ahead when she entered the Air Force Academy. Now, she's still serving the community and highly recommends a military career to young people. ►

• Col. Christopher Meeker '00 takes charge of 88th Air Base Wing. ►

• Kyle Westmoreland '14 happy on PGA Tour. ►

2nd Lt. Samantha Williamson '21 and her family are members of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. She's currently far from home studying medicine and aiming to fulfill her life's purpose to care for her community. ►
Artemis

When Artemis 1 launched this week, a handful of USAFA cadets, faculty and staff members were keenly interested. They conducted important research on behalf of NASA to ensure the safety of astronauts on future missions to the moon.

UPCOMING AOG BOARD ELECTION: Membership in the AOG is required to vote in the 2023 election. Graduates who are not yet members who want to vote in the board election have until Dec. 16 to join the AOG. Please help us reach out to non-member grads and let them know they can now join the AOG at no cost and vote in the upcoming board election.
