Capt. Taylor Bye '15 was awarded the 2020 Koren Kolligian Jr. Trophy at the Pentagon earlier this month to recognize her outstanding airmanship when her A-10C attack aircraft suffered a catastrophic malfunction.

• Gwendolyn DeFilippi '96, acting deputy chief of staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, officiated the ceremony in which Maj. Gen. Christopher Craige '91 relinquished command at the Air Force Personnel Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, to Maj. Gen. Troy Dunn '93. ►

• Col. Lucas Teel '01 assumed command of the 4th Fighter Wing at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, and will now head one of the Air Force's largest fighter wings, with 94 F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft and nearly 7,000 total force airmen. ►

CORRECTION: In the last issue of ZoomiEnews, we included a link to an article about the 75th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron in Djibouti. While Lt. Col. (Ret.) Gregg Montijo '81 was quoted in the story, he is not associated with the squadron. We regret and apologize for the error.
Outdoor Leadership Complex

The upgraded Outdoor Leadership Complex at the Air Force Academy features a new leader challenge tower, which will see its first use by cadets in June 2022. Funded by the Class of 1963 and the Dorothy D. and Joseph A. Moller Foundation, the all-steel structure is designed to force teams of cadets to use critical leadership skills at multiple heights and distances.
