Member benefit alert! The Association of Graduates Board of Directors is pleased to once again offer Graduate Dependent Scholarships. These scholarships are annual awards of not less than $500 to directly support postsecondary education for the children of AOG graduate members. ►
HH-3E

After 12 years of advocating for a static display of an HH-3E at the Academy, Max James '64 finally saw his efforts bear fruit. A dedication ceremony for the new display was conducted Nov. 12 near the iconic B-52 at USAFA.

December Grads

Congratulations to the 21 newest members of the Long Blue Line. During the Academy's winter graduation ceremony last week, they received their degrees and took their first steps as commissioned officers in the Air and Space Forces.

This Friday, Dec. 23, the AirPower Hour Podcast is releasing a special episode honoring Medal of Honor recipient Capt. Lance P. Sijan '65. ►

• Dr. Chris Howard '91 recently told graduating veterans to extend leadership they learned in the military to their communities and workplaces. ►

• Lt. Gen. Tony Bauernfeind '91 assumed command of Air Force Special Operations Command during a ceremony in the Freedom Hangar on Dec. 9. ►

• Col. Elliott Leigh '02 became director of AFWERX, a directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Department of the Air Force's innovation arm, during a change of leadership ceremony Dec. 15. He assumed the role from Col. Nathan Diller '00. Air Force Research Laboratory commander Maj. Gen. Heather Pringle '91 also participated in the ceremony. ►

Cadet 1st Class Kyrolos Georgey, Class of 2023, has been selected for a highly competitive Marshall Scholarship, a fully funded postgraduate program in the United Kingdom. He is the Academy's 23rd Marshall Scholar. ►

• Academy hosts space-focused STEM forum. ►
Basketball

Air Force men's basketball (9-4) clawed its way to a gritty 67-65 road win over Northern Colorado on Tuesday night. A home win last weekend extended their win streak at Clune Arena to seven straight, which ties for the Falcons' longest since 2010.
