Lindgren Assigned to Crew-4 Dragon Mission, Will Launch Next Year
NASA has assigned veteran astronaut Dr. Kjell Lindgren '95 to command the fourth operational voyage of SpaceX's Crew Dragon to the International Space Station (ISS), with launch atop a Falcon 9 booster from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida anticipated sometime in 2022.

F-15EX Completes First Flight
"Being selected as the F-15EX formal training unit is an outstanding mission for the 173rd Fighter Wing," said Col. Jeff Edwards '95, 173rd FW commander. The first F-15EX flight was piloted by Boeing's F-15 chief test pilot, Matt Giese '96. Edwards and Giese go way back, as they were in the same cadet squadron at the Academy.

1st Lt. Donavan Moss '18 was one of four airmen from the 627th Communications Squadron at Joint Base Lewis-McChord who became Guardians with the Space Force.

Edwards AFB Conducts Space Force Transfer Ceremony
The 412th Test Wing hosted a ceremony for 17 airmen who have transferred as Guardians in the Space Force at Edwards Air Force Base. Among them was Capt. George Zeitler '14 who said it was his father's 20-year Coast Guard career that inspired him to join the military, but it was his membership in his high school's rocketry team that spurred his interest in space.

Maui Sees First U.S. Space Force Officers Sworn In
Capt. Cody Felipe '13 was one of six officers assigned to the Air Force Research Laboratory's Directed Energy Directorate Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing site that joined more than 2,400 airmen across the nation transferring from the U.S. Air Force to the U.S. Space Force. After Felipe's graduation from the Air Force Academy, he undertook a career-broadening experience in space operations at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calf. It was there that his interest in space began.

Air Force junior Daija Stevenson was tabbed MPSF Gymnast of the Week after compiling a 38.575 all-around at the six-team Gym Quarters Invitational meet on Feb. 12. This is the sixth career MPSF weekly award for Stevenson, including four-straight as Gymnast of the Week.

Fiori Named Rifle Athlete of the Week
Air Force junior Peter Fiori is this week's rifle athlete of the week. In the rifle matches against Akron and Ohio State, Fiori was the overall top individual finisher with triple season-best scores.
