#GivingTuesdayNow was May 5. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and economic uncertainty, 150 donors generously gave $20,520 in support of the Air Force Academy Fund.

Donors Provide Cadet Workout Options
Prior to leaving the Air Force Academy campus, the Class of 2020 had access to donor-funded exercise equipment while the cadet gymnasium was closed because of COVID-19.

Douglas Lengenfelder '79 was selected by President Trump to be on the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors. The board oversees matters of morale, discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, academic methods and other issues relating to the Academy.

Air Force Academy Satellite to Launch Aboard X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle
A satellite built by Air Force Academy cadets will launch into space May 16 aboard the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle, Orbital Test Vehicle sponsored by the Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office and built by Boeing. This is the first time a satellite built and designed by cadets will catch a ride into space aboard the X-37B.

Air Force Athletics Makes Food Donations to Local Charities
Air Force Athletics made the best of a bad situation recently. The department made deliveries of food items to a pair of Colorado Springs charities this week. The food was slated for concessions sales for winter and spring sports, but due to the cancellation of play due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program found another use.


Air Force has Three Programs Recognized by NCAA for APR
Air Force had three athletic programs recognized by the NCAA for their latest multiyear NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR). Football, women's gymnastics and wrestling teams all ranked in the top 10 percent for their sports.
