All Academy Challenge: United in Competition
Starting Sunday, Aug. 16, you are invited to take part in the All Academy Challenge — a friendly competition among the service academies to achieve the highest giving percentage among each graduate community. Graduates will have several options for support, including the Air Force Academy Fund, athletics, class giving projects, the Sabre Society and more. The All Academy Challenge website goes live Aug. 16.

Will Your Company Match Your Gift?
Thousands of companies match their employees' charitable contributions for free. Matching gifts play a crucial role at the Air Force Academy Foundation for supporting Academy, AOG and Air Force Academy Foundation operations. The Air Force Academy Foundation gratefully accepts matching gift requests provided they follow the guidelines of the company providing the match. The Foundation matching gift web page includes a search function to find out if a company participates in a matching gift program.

Funding Opportunities
The Air Force Academy Foundation raises private funds to help enhance and develop Academy programs that would not otherwise be fully funded by the government. The Academy superintendent released a list of current program and project priorities that will strengthen the Air Force Academy and advance leadership training for cadets today and for years to come. The Foundation has adopted these priorities as a guide for transformative giving opportunities from the private sector to help bolster and expand the effectiveness of each priority program.

Deceased Airman Identified as Eielson Squadron Commander
Maj. Michael "Cal" Gentry '07, 354th Contracting Squadron commander, was struck by a vehicle while on a cycling trip. He served in both overseas and deployed locations throughout his career as a contracting officer and assumed command of the 354th CONS in June of 2018.

Air Force Has School-Record 87 Earn MW Spring All-Academic Honors
Air Force placed a school-record 87 cadet-athletes on the spring academic all-Mountain West team. The previous record of 81 was set in 2015-16. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
