Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel Closes For Renovation
The doors of Colorado's most visited man-made attraction, the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel, have officially closed. The nearly 60-year-old, multi-faith chapel will undergo renovations for up to four years.

Far Out Football!
Astronaut Nick Hague '98 watched from the International Space Station as Air Force football won its season-opening game on Saturday. Forty cadet athletes had an opportunity to study leadership principles on the Civil War battlefields at Gettysburg. The fourth annual Gettysburg Leadership Summit was made possible through private philanthropy coordinated by the USAFA Endowment.

Inspired by the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and his love for the outdoors, Air Force Lt. Col. Rob Marshall '01 created the first American military mountaineering team. From 2005 to 2013 — between combat deployments as a special operations pilot — Marshall led airmen to the summit of every continent's highest peak, ending with the successful summit of the highest point on Earth, Mount Everest.

Air Force Pilot Trainee Accepts Tennis Award, Life's Challenge
Second Lt. Isaac Perez '19, a former tennis player at the U.S. Air Force Academy, has been named a 2019 Arthur Ashe Jr. Leadership and Sportsmanship Award recipient by the National Collegiate Athletics Association. The Air Force men's tennis team was on hand in New York to watch Perez receive his award and participate in the Arthur Ashe Kids Day during the U.S. Open.

Twenty years into his career as an Air Force aviator, Lt. Col. Richard Pantusa '99 firmly believes two things: aviation is a team activity, and no team is successful without trust. Trust Between Nations Strengthened by International Camaraderie
U.S. law allows international cadets from allied countries to attend USAFA. After graduating with the Class of 2015, Nicula Alin returned to Romania for flight training. He now flies the C-27J cargo aircraft, often running into USAFA classmates during exercises.

Air Force grinded to a 2-1 victory over Army West Point in the first service academy contest of the year. Sophomores JT D'Emidio and Tristan Trager notched a goal apiece to the secure the win in the season opener.
