Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel Closes For Renovation
The doors of Colorado's most visited man-made attraction, the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel, have officially closed. The nearly 60-year-old, multi-faith chapel will undergo renovations for up to four years.

Astronaut Nick Hague '98 watched from the International Space Station as Air Force football won its season-opening game on Saturday. Follow him on social media for more great updates from his journey, including space walks and photos above Hurricane Dorian. He will be returning to Earth on Oct. 3rd.

Submit Your Photos for the 2020 AFAF Calendar
Photo submissions are now being accepted for the 2020 Air Force Academy Fund calendar. Show your support for the Air Force Academy and inspire others to give to the Air Force Academy Fund. The deadline for submitting photos is Sept. 20, 2019.


On the Battlefield
Forty cadet athletes had an opportunity to study leadership principles on the Civil War battlefields at Gettysburg. The fourth annual Gettysburg Leadership Summit was made possible through private philanthropy coordinated by the USAFA Endowment.

Donors who give $1,000 or more annually to the Air Force Academy Fund are recognized as Sabre Society-level donors. These leadership gifts from graduates, parents and friends enable the USAFA Endowment to fulfill its mission of supporting cadets, the Academy and its graduates.

Cadet Parents Support Wings of Blue Parachute Team
David and Elizabeth Allen supported the Academy and their son's love for parachuting with gifts to the Wings of Blue parachute team. The Allens worked through the Endowment's Parent and Family Giving program.

Video: Seven Summits Challenge
Inspired by the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and his love for the outdoors, Air Force Lt. Col. Rob Marshall '01 created the first American military mountaineering team. From 2005 to 2013 — between combat deployments as a special operations pilot — Marshall led airmen to the summit of every continent's highest peak, ending with the successful summit of the highest point on Earth, Mount Everest.


Air Force Pilot Trainee Accepts Tennis Award, Life's Challenge
Second Lt. Isaac Perez '19, a former tennis player at the U.S. Air Force Academy, has been named a 2019 Arthur Ashe Jr. Leadership and Sportsmanship Award recipient by the National Collegiate Athletics Association. The Air Force men's tennis team was on hand in New York to watch Perez receive his award and participate in the Arthur Ashe Kids Day during the U.S. Open.


'99 Academy Grad Credits USAFA Airfield with Changing His Life
Twenty years into his career as an Air Force aviator, Lt. Col. Richard Pantusa '99 firmly believes two things: aviation is a team activity, and no team is successful without trust. He credits his experience at the Air Force Academy Airfield for introducing him to these concepts and changing the direction of his career and ultimately his life.


Trust Between Nations Strengthened by International Camaraderie
U.S. law allows international cadets from allied countries to attend USAFA. After graduating with the Class of 2015, Nicula Alin returned to Romania for flight training. He now flies the C-27J cargo aircraft, often running into USAFA classmates during exercises.

Flight Training Center Benefits Cadets, Academy Community
The Aero Club offers a wide variety of aviation services to cadets, service members, retirees, contractors and their families at a reduced cost. Many cadets use the club to improve their Pilot Candidate Selection Method score while others pursue their pilot's license to join the Academy's Flying Team.

The Air Force Academy football team led from wire to wire in a 48-7 season-opening win over Colgate University Saturday afternoon, Aug. 31, at Falcon Stadium. It was the 13th consecutive season-opening win for the Falcons. View photos of the win!


Falcon Men's Soccer Defeats Army at West Point
Air Force grinded to a 2-1 victory over Army West Point in the first service academy contest of the year. Sophomores JT D'Emidio and Tristan Trager notched a goal apiece to the secure the win in the season opener.
