Vote Today — Time Is Running Out
Overall, the AOG election stands at 19.4% of eligible members having voted. That leaves us 5.6% percent short of the required quorum percentage (25%). We're almost there, but time is running short. The election ends at noon MT on March 18, 2019, so please participate today. The sooner we hit quorum, the sooner we can stop sending reminders and have election issues resolved once and for all. The Air Force's top officer doesn't parse words when it comes to describing his confidence in the capability of the Air Force. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein '83 said his faith in today's Total Force Airmen allows him to send a simple message to any adversary spanning the globe.

A few years have passed since 87-year-old Kimbrough Bassett was a young air training officer (ATO) welcoming the first class of Air Force Academy cadets to Lowry Air Force Base in 1955. Bassett's Academy experiences and his wife's (pictured right) love of tennis helped him decide to endow a women's tennis award in her memory.

Air Force placed a school-record 61 student-athletes on the 2018 Mountain West Fall Academic Team. The previous record for the Falcons was 44 in 2009-10.

Former Linebacker Finds Competition After Football
After high school, Nick Waterman was drawn to the Air Force Academy both for the chance to serve his country and the opportunity to keep playing football. When the latter didn't work out, however, he found a new athletic outlet with a special family connection. After he graduates from the Academy in May, Waterman begins an assignment as a logistics readiness officer at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington.
