Post-9/11 GI Bill Benefits Transferability
The AOG has been asked to pass this information along to impacted grads. Effective July 12, 2019, all actively serving members of the armed forces who have 16 or more years of service will no longer be able to transfer their post-9/11 GI Bill benefits to their dependents. As a result of this change, service members are highly encouraged to transfer their post-9/11 GI Bill benefits as soon as they become eligible to avoid missing out on this extremely generous family benefit.

Civil Engineer Lab Takes Cadets Into the Field at AF Academy
The three-week Field Engineering Readiness Lab — also known as "FERL" — is a summer course for soon-to-be junior cadets at the Air Force Academy. The course is designed to advance their basic knowledge of construction.

Michael Rhoads Named MW Outdoor Athlete of the Year
Air Force junior Michael Rhoads capped off a stellar outdoor campaign by being named the Mountain West Men's Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year. Rhoads is the first MW athlete to sweep the Indoor and Outdoor Athlete of the Year awards since 2013.


Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC Sign Standout Pair of Air Force Academy Attackers
The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced the signings of Tucker Bone and Austin Dewing. Both players graduated from USAFA with the Class of 2019.


Jake Gilbert Signed by the Cincinnati Reds
Recently graduated Air Force Academy baseball player Jake Gilbert was signed by the Cincinnati Reds organization. He joins fellow Class of 2019 member Nic Ready, who was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 23rd round of the MLB Draft.


Kyle Haak Named Academic All-American
Kyle Haak '19 is the first Air Force hockey player in school history to earn academic All-American honors three times, being named to the third team as a sophomore and to the second team as a junior and senior.
