Atlanta Falcons guard Ben Garland '10 and former Detroit Lions quarterback Eric Hipple are the finalists for the NFL's Salute To Service Award. The recipient of the award, presented by USAA, will be revealed on Feb. 2 during the NFL Honors show.

It's the first update since a new commandant was announced. Goodwin will become director of current operations for the Air Force deputy chief of staff at the Pentagon.

Academy to Gain 40 More AMTs
The Air Force Academy's cadet squadrons are scheduled to gain 40 noncommissioned officers by 2020. Each cadet squadron currently has one Academy Military Training NCO. The AMT serves in a leadership role while also performing key administrative and developmental duties.

Fire Captain, Parachute Instructor Finds his Home at Air Force Academy
Tyler Moran is exactly where he wants to be: serving as an enlisted parachute instructor and fire captain at the Air Force Academy. Moran, a technical sergeant, is primarily responsible for the training cadets are required to complete in order to become jumpmasters and skydiving instructors.
