Former Air Force Academy professor Lt. Col. Nick Hague '98 and his Russian counterpart were forced to abort their flight when a Russian rocket boosting them to the International Space Station failed. They successfully brought their capsule back to Earth.

Air Force Academy Cadets Volunteer, Support Local Children
The Child Enrichment Center offers free daycare while parents or caregivers attend on-site life skills classes to help them become self-sufficient. Academy Dean of Faculty Elected to Elite Operations Research Board
An elite research organization elected the dean of faculty at the Air Force Academy as a member of their board. Brig. Gen. Andrew Armacost is one of only a dozen educators in the U.S. to receive this year's fellowship to the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, also known as INFORMS.
