Close Air Support Demo at USAFA Shows Capabilities
Thousands of cadets and visitors at the Air Force Academy didn't have to go overseas Nov. 3 to get a look at combat operations. All they had to do was look up. They got to see a close air support demonstration that included Joint Terminal Attack Controllers directing "flyovers" by two A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft and two F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft above the campus. Air Force had five players in double figures to beat Canisius, 93-79, Tuesday night in the second game of the Men Against Breast Cancer Showcase at the Academy. The Falcons have opened their season 2-0 for second straight year.

Men's Soccer Slated to Play Va. Tech in First Round of NCAA Tournament
The Air Force men's soccer team is one of 48 teams selected to play in the 2017 NCAA men's soccer tournament. Air Force, with an overall record of 14-2-3 will take on Virginia Tech (9-9-0), Thursday, Nov. 16. This year's tournament bid marks the team's first time competing in the national tournament since 2012.

Senior Riley Thomas earned first-team all-conference honors for the third straight season. Senior Garrett Fisk was named to the second team while senior Justin Harrison was honorable mention. Goalie James Burke was named to the all-freshman team.
