Heritage Days: Class of 2025
The Association of Graduates is hosting a series of Heritage Days this week for the Basic Cadets from the Class of 2025. The basics toured Doolittle Hall and the adjacent Heritage Trail, meeting up with graduates of the Academy to learn about the many things graduates have accomplished.

DG Awards BanquetDistinguished Graduate Award Banquet — Last Day to Register is Aug. 1
Please join us Friday, Aug. 6, as we celebrate and recognize our nine Distinguished Graduate Award honorees from 2019 and 2020. The evening's 2019 honorees include Col. (Ret.) Les Denend, Class of 1963; Mr. Fletcher "Flash" Wiley, Class of 1965; Gen. (Ret.) Norton "Norty" Schwartz, Class of 1973; Gen. (Ret.) Ed Rice Jr., Class of 1978; and Mr. John "Jack" Kucera, Class of 1978. Our 2020 honorees include Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jay Kelley, Class of 1964; Mr. Hugh Williamson, Class of 1964; Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Ron Sega, Class of 1974; and Col. (Ret.) Gail Benjamin Colvin, Class of 1980. Register now!

2021 Officer Women Leadership Symposium
The Officer Women Leadership Symposium (Mini-OWLS) series convenes women leaders in the military and veteran community, experts, innovators and thought leaders to explore emerging trends, strengthen skills, and transform observations into actionable insights to lead positive change. Registration is now open for the August and November series!

Folds of HonorFolds of Honor Labor Day Weekend Events
Folds of Honor, which offers educational scholarships to both children and spouses of fallen service members, is hosting a golf tournament and concert on Sunday, Sept. 5. The tournament will be held at Eisenhower Golf Course with Tyler Farr in concert at Boot Barn Hall.

Rugby ReunionAF Rugby Reunion Reception — Annapolis
The Air Force Academy Rugby Foundation is proud to host the Annual AF Rugby Reunion Reception to be held on Friday, Sept. 10, in Annapolis, MD, during Air Force vs. Navy weekend. Join AF Rugby alumni, players and parents to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11, the recent passing of Air Force Academy Rugby Coach Alan Osur and the 30th anniversary of the Air Force Academy women's team's first national championship. Air Force vs. Navy Tailgate on Sept. 11
The Association of Graduates, Air Force Academy Foundation and Air Force Athletics are inviting all Air Force fans from around the country to cheer on the Falcons as they sink Navy! During the tailgate, in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, we will take a moment to remember the victims of that day as well as the two graduates we lost — First Officer Maj. Leroy Homer Jr. '87 and Col. (Ret.) Charles E. Jones '74. Register for the tailgate!

MartyMarcolongo Stepping Down as President and COO of AOG
Marty Marcolongo '88 has been an integral part of the AOG's mission since his arrival in 2001. In his varied roles over the years, Marty has been instrumental in the operation of almost every aspect of the AOG's work. His last day as President and COO will be Sept. 1. Please join us in thanking Marty for his excellent leadership and all he has done — and will continue to do — for the Air Force Academy, our graduates and their families, and his community.

Nominations Sought for the 2021 Distinguished Graduate Award
The Distinguished Graduate Award recognizes exceptional graduates who have set themselves apart by making extraordinarily significant contributions to our nation and/or their communities. Nomination packages are due to the AOG no later than Oct. 1. Visit our website for all required elements and to submit a nomination.

SpotlightAOG Service Spotlight: Distinguished Service Award
This month's service spotlight highlights a grad recently honored by the Academy for his volunteer service. Lt. Col. (Ret.) Garry Dudley '68 was presented the 2020 Distinguished Service Award at a July 9 ceremony at Doolittle Hall. The award celebrates an individual or organization who has provided significant volunteer service and support to the Academy, the graduate community and beyond. Watch the video!
