Prep ParentsPrep School Family Event
On July 9, 233 cadet candidates started their 10-month journey at the USAFA Preparatory School. After drop-off, the Association of Graduates invited all the families to stop by Doolittle Hall to shop, take a stroll along the Heritage Trail, and write their first letter to their Cadet Candidate at the Southeast Asia Pavilion with a stunning view overlooking the Academy. Families were met by AOG staff members, Marie Nikovits (USAFA parent liaison), and volunteers of the Colorado Parents Club who provided support and guidance as they started to navigate this new journey together. The day was a huge success with a comment from a parent stating, "they arrived feeling heartbroken and overwhelmed, yet they left feeling informed and part of a larger family."
