There's still time to do a virtual march back with the Class of 2024 before July 31st! Let's come together as a USAFA family and support the Class of 2024. Though the in-person Graduate March Back was cancelled, USAFA is going virtual and expanding participation to our entire USAFA family! Between July 18-31, you are invited to join the USAFA community and walk, run or march 6.2 miles in support of the Class of 2024 basic cadets returning from Basic Cadet Training in Jacks Valley for the final days. Watch the video, share your march photos/video and get involved!

Challenge Extended — You Still Have Time!
In the last couple of months, our daily routines and lives have been greatly impacted by events around the world. For more information, ideas on how to serve and to log your minutes, please visit usafa.org/ServiceBeforeSelf.

Programs

GerhartGen. John K. Gerhart Fellowship
The Gen. John K. Gerhart Fellowship is a two-year study program funded by the U.S. Air Force Academy Association of Graduates for the benefit of USAF Academy graduates every year. This year's recipient is 2nd Lt. Lauren Benedict '20. She accepted the scholarship from Marty Marcolongo '88, president and chief operating officer of the AOG. Gerhart scholars study at the University of Strasbourg in France. Scholarship funds come from a trust fund established in the name of Gen. John Gerhart for the two years of study.

Book ClubNew Book Starting Aug. 6th — One Book, One USAFA
Starting Aug. 6, 2020, we will be reading Station Eleven. Why? Because all of USAFA is reading and discussing it — it is a way to connect without physically being there! Gen. Linell A. Letendre '96, USAF dean of the faculty said, "Under the 'One Book, One USAFA' initiative, all of us — cadets, AOCs, coaches, and faculty — will read the book Station Eleven. This fictional account of a post-pandemic world is relevant today. Our discussions of the unpredicted disruption of the world described in this book will prepare you to think about challenges as future Air and Space Force leaders. Similar to the characters in this novel who proclaim proudly that 'survival is insufficient,' we expect the Class of 2024 not to just survive...but to thrive across all areas of USAFA: military, athletic and academic. I can't wait to start learning with you! Generously provided by the USAFA Institute for Future Conflict made possible by the Air Force Academy Foundation." Join the ZoomieRead book club!
