Book ClubJoin the Academy Alumni Book Club!
Starting Aug. 6, 2020, we will be reading "Station Eleven." Why? Because all of USAFA is reading and discussing it, it is a way to connect without physically being there! Gen. Linell A. Letendre '96, USAF Dean of the Faculty said, "Under the One Book, One USAFA initiative, all of us — cadets, AOCs, coaches, and faculty — will read the book 'Station Eleven.' This fictional account of a post-pandemic world is relevant today. Our discussions of the unpredicted disruption of the world described in this book will prepare you to think about challenges as future Air and Space Force leaders. Similar to the characters in this novel who proclaim proudly that 'survival is insufficient,' we expect the Class of 2024 not to just survive...but to thrive across all areas of USAFA: military, athletic and academic. I can't wait to start learning with you! Generously provided by the USAFA Institute for Future Conflict made possible by the Air Force Academy Foundation." Join the book club!

Heritage MinuteNew Episode — Heritage Minute
The latest episode of Heritage Minute with Steve Simon '77 takes a look at the history behind the B-52 Stratofortress on static display, near the Air Force Academy's North Gate entrance.

Distinguished Graduate Videos
DG Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association of Graduates and the United States Air Force Academy were not able to hold the annual Founders Day Banquet on April 3. As a result, the graduate community was not able to fully recognize this year's five distinguished graduate honorees — Col. (Ret.) Leslie Denend '63, Mr. Fletcher "Flash" Wiley '65, Gen. (Ret.) Norton "Norty" Schwartz '73, Gen. (Ret.) Edward Rice Jr. '78 and Mr. John "Jack" Kucera '78. Over the last several weeks, the AOG posted videos highlighting the life stories of these five newest DGs. The AOG plans to further recognize these honorees at the 2021 Founders Day celebration. But in the meantime, be inspired by the stories these notable USAFA graduates share!

COS AirportColorado Springs Airport
There are two major airports in Colorado. We're the small one. Being small means we can deliver a unique experience that big airports typically can't, such as easy parking, small lines, small waits, and small walks to gates. We're here to support the community, connect people, reduce stress, and to make the time people spend in the airport more enjoyable. We want to be people's first choice for flying in and out of Colorado. We're here to make everything easy and friendly and to give people a reason to say "I love my small airport."

We are excited to announce that the National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs reopened to visitors on Friday, July 10.
