ElectionElection Update
Last November, America went to the ballot box. This February, we have our own big election. AOG members will be voting on an important bylaw change Feb. 4, 2019, through March 18, 2019, and reaching the required quorum of 25% will be essential. AOG members will also be electing six new Board members from a slate of 23 candidates.

Young AlumniYoung Alumni Excellence Award
Do you know a young alum who has distinguished himself or herself by obtaining a high level of professional or philanthropic achievement and who possesses high standards of integrity and character that positively reflect and enhance the prestige of the Air Force Academy? If so, this award is the perfect way to recognize them. If you would like to nominate an alum who has graduated recently from the Academy (15 years or less from their graduation year), please go to our website and nominate them today! PAIPractical Aeronautics
"Introduction to Aircraft Systems: A Practical Perspective" is a 2.5 day course, Feb. 26-28, 2019, introducing participants to all the major aircraft systems (fuel, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, ice protection, electrical, takeoff and landing, flight control, and avionics) — their purpose, how they operate, integration considerations, challenges, certification requirements, and industry trends (including both civil and military designs). Teams are taught by an experienced aircrew, and this course is suitable for anyone wanting to learn more about airborne systems and their integration. WWIIWWII Museum
The National Museum of World War II Aviation has been a proud partner with the U.S. Air Force Academy since 2013 — when it hosted the graduation ceremony flyover during sequestration — and continues to work closely with the Academy on education and training programs today. Now, they are asking for your help. The museum has initiated a personalized Memorial Brick Program to raise money for construction of an 80,000-square-foot hangar to house the museum's fast-growing collection of World War II aircraft and artifacts.
