Electronic Election Forum Tonight
AOG Board Chair Cathy McClain '82 will be conducting an Electronic Election Forum at 6:30 p.m. (MT) on Thursday, Jan. 17, to answer questions about the 2019 election. AOG members will be able to attend live via teleconferencing technology. The Election Forum will last for up to 60 minutes and a wide range of questions will be addressed. Please submit your questions ahead of time to elections@aogusafa.org. Those attending the Election Forum live also may submit questions via the Zoom teleconferencing platform.

Young AlumniYoung Alumni Excellence Award — Still Time to Nominate!
Do you know a young alum who has distinguished himself or herself by obtaining a high level of professional or philanthropic achievement and who possesses high standards of integrity and character that positively reflect and enhance the prestige of the Air Force Academy? If so, this award is the perfect way to recognize them. If you would like to nominate an alum who has graduated recently from the Academy (15 years or less from their graduation year), please go to our website and nominate them today! The deadline for submissions is Jan. 19, 2019.

The AOG also is seeking volunteers to evaluate candidates for the Young Alumni Excellence Award. Volunteers are needed to review and rate the applications between Jan. 24 and Feb. 1, 2019. If you are interested in volunteering for this program, please contact Corrie Grubbs by Jan. 22, 2019.

"Introduction to Aircraft Systems: A Practical Perspective" is a 2.5 day course, Feb. 26-28, 2019, introducing participants to all the major aircraft systems (fuel, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, ice protection, electrical, takeoff and landing, flight control, and avionics) — their purpose, how they operate, integration considerations, challenges, certification requirements, and industry trends (including both civil and military designs). Team taught by experienced aircrew, this course is suitable for anyone wanting to learn more about airborne systems and their integration.
