AF Academy Society of Washington D.C. Quarterly Event — Nov. 9, 2018

Wreaths Across America
Through your support last year, Wreaths Across America was able to lay a wreath on every veteran's grave during the holiday season at the Air Force Academy cemetery. On Dec. 15, 2018, at 10 a.m., they will once again have a wreath laying ceremony. Learn more and sponsor a wreath today!




Distinguished Graduate Award Nominations — Wednesday Deadline
The deadline to nominate a USAFA graduate for the Distinguished Graduate Award has been extended to Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018. If you are interested in nominating a grad, please refer to the AOG website for information on the award and the submission process.

Election Information
Watch a video featuring Cathy McClain, Association of Graduates board chair, explaining the upcoming AOG election. AOG members will be voting on an important bylaw change Feb. 4, 2019, through March 18, 2019, and reaching the required quorum of 25% will be essential.




Heritage Minute
One key mission of the Association of Graduates is to highlight some of those things that make the Academy a special place. As a result, the AOG has launched a series of "Heritage Minute" videos that will be available weekly Tuesday mornings on our website, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram TV. Subscribe to our channel and follow us on social media so you don't miss out! Each episode of the "Heritage Minute" will feature a historic site or display found somewhere on the Academy campus. Watch our first seven episodes online.

Self-Guided Tour of Heritage Trail
You can now take a self-guided tour of Heritage Trail, showing video clips about the monuments along the path. Download the AOG app and your phone will notify you with information about the next stop. Even if you are thousands of miles away, you also can watch the videos and take a virtual tour of history by clicking the Heritage Trail button in the app.
